Misako Aoki-Oda started dance training in Japan and received a scholarship to study
at the Royal Ballet School in London for three years.
From there, she went on to the Matsuyama Ballet Company,
one of the major companies in Japan. She toured in Europe and China with Rudolf Nureyev.
She served as a jury for the West Street of London Ballet School Audition in Japan.
Ms. Misako coordinated the exchange student program between the Japan Ballet and the Australian Ballet.
She was a faculty at Towson university from 2000 to 2004. She was the guest teacher at the Dance Day of
Royal Academy of Dancing Mid-Atlantic Division in 2000 and 2001. She has been the rehearsal assistant
for Moscow Ballet's Nutcracker since 2002 and Washington Ballet's new production of
Nutcracker (Hippodrome production) in 2004.
She tought at UMBC during the spring semester in 2007.
